Moving Forward: Values 20 (V20) 2022 Indonesia

Nenilai Survey is a collective initiative aiming to build a better Indonesia through surveys and meaningful dialogues about the values important to the individual, the community, and the nation. Nenilai conducted a large-scale national survey to discover the current and the desired values which were important for individuals and communities in Indonesia. We aimed to embrace as many Indonesians as possible: across ages and generations, groups, occupations, and locations.
V20 2022 Key Theme is Values at the Center. Adapting Compass Education’s framework of The Sustainability Compass focusing on Nature, Economy, Wellbeing, and Society, the task force will develop a Communique with an intent to add depth to the understanding of values in public policy with evidence-based, human-centered policy solutions that contribute to overcoming global challenges.
Through global acknowledgement on Nenilai Survey, Nenilai has been trusted as V20 2022 Organizing Committee. Previously, the V20 was held in Saudi Arabia in 2020 and Italy in 2021. The handover from the Italian Organizing Committee took place on October 15th, 2021 at a V20 2021 Summit in Rome. It was presented to our Co-Sherpas, Prof. Dr. Makarim Wibisono, former UN Ambassador, former UN Ambassador, and Ms. Alissa Wahid, Humanitarian and the founder of Gusdurian Network Indonesia (GNI), as well as Indonesian Co-Chairs, Yuri Yogaswara, CEO of Daya Dimensi Indonesia and Meike Malaon, Director at Daya Lima Abisatya.
Becoming a host to the V20 2022 during the G20 Indonesian Presidency, Nenilai extends its hope to be part of an important role in the global contribution, leading Indonesia to become a more advanced and mature nation.
The Values 20 Group (V20) is a global community of values experts and practitioners who seek to actively engage with the Group of Twenty (G20) to advance its vitally important multilateral work. V20 was launched in 2020 with the purpose of deepening an understanding of how values can strengthen public policy.
The V20 2022 were launched on January 25th, 2022, with a Press Conference streamed online. It was officially launched by following spokesperson from V20 Indonesia Advisory Board, Mr. Arsjad Rasjid, Chairman of Indonesia Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and the President Director of Indika Energy and Dr. Vivi Yulaswati Senior Advisor to the Minister, Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS), V20 Indonesia Co-Sherpas, both Prof. Dr. Makarim Wibisono and Ms. Alissa Wahid, and also the representative from the Founding Group of V20, Dr. Madeep Rai and Dr. Ghazi Binzagr.
The V20 Summit will be held for two days on October 20-21, 2022, during which we will officially launch the V20 2022 Communique. This Communique will cover value-based public policy recommendations in line with the G20 Indonesian Presidency’s theme of RECOVER TOGETHER, RECOVER STRONGER.
The Road to V20 Summit will feature virtual activities featuring values-based business and community activities leading up to October 2022. This includes a couple of insightful and inspiring webinars as well as a virtual film week and performing art showcases which will be held in May for three days on May 19-21 and two days on August 19-20.
The V20 2022 Summit in Bali will be an exciting and joyful hybrid festival celebrating values in everyday life. It will showcase an array of meaningful webinars, presentations and dialogues, music and dance performances, booths showcasing values-based business and community programs, a values “museum”, art installation, interactive activities, organic and creative market, and many more.
